AgroZ® Crate is used for transport and food freshness and is made from food grade HDPE plastic unlike wooden or cardboard crates/containers which usually absorb moisture and so lasts longer. (change on blurb also)
AgroZ Crates are important for minimizing post harvest losses of fresh produce such as fruits and vegetables. Usually these losses can occur during movement of produce. The AgroZ crates are effective in controlling bruising and crushing of the fresh produce. The AgroZ Crate is effective and are made from food grade HDPE plastic unlike wooden or cardboard crates/containers which usually absorb moisture that can hasten the deterioration process.
- AgroZ Crates are treated for UV protection and weigh 2 kgs when empty.
- The external dimensions are L63 cm X w 38 cm and can carry 18kgs of French beans or 25 kgs of tomatoes.
- The AgroZ crate are durable and light with vented sides and a smooth interior to increase protection for the fresh produce.
They come in many basic colors.
- AgroZ crates are easily stackable, nestable, strong and durable and can handle years of use.
- They can be stored economically in small spaces. While empty, AgroZ Crates can occupy 50% space only during transportation or storage in a warehouse.
- Since the AgroZ crate can be re-used several times unlike other options such as woven sacks, they are efficient and cost effective since after one use the cost would be recovered.
